Money and quotes
Nobody enjoys ringing a tradie without knowing what the visit will cost, so here is exactly how our pricing works before you pick up the phone.
How much will the job cost?
Every job gets a fixed written price before any work begins, worked out after a proper on-site assessment, and that assessment costs nothing because the call out fee is $0.
Do you charge more for nights or weekends?
No. Nights, weekends and public holidays are priced the same way as any weekday job, so the figure on your written quote is the figure on your invoice regardless of timing.
How do I pay?
Card, cash and payment plans are all accepted, and because the price is fixed in writing before work starts, the amount you pay is settled before we begin.

Availability and emergencies
Urgent faults do not keep business hours, and neither do we. Here is what happens when you ring outside the nine to five.
How quickly can you get here in an emergency?
A licensed plumber answers the phone day and night, and the van reaching you has usually just left a job nearby, so response is as fast as local roads and the fault allow.
What should I do while waiting for the plumber?
Turn off the water at the meter for bursts and overflows, isolate the gas if you smell it, and switch off the supply to a leaking hot water unit before we arrive. Our no hot water and gas leaks pages walk through the make-safe steps in detail, and the emergency plumbing hub explains what counts as urgent in the first place.

Licensing and guarantees
Is the work done by licensed plumbers?
Yes. Every plumber on the team works under licence #275278C with full insurance, and compliance certificates arrive with the invoice without you needing to ask.
What warranty comes with the work?
All workmanship is covered by our Lifetime Labour Warranty, which means if something we did is not right, we come back and make it right at no cost to you.

Plumbing in this suburb specifically
The houses here put their own spin on common faults, and these are the questions that come up again and again on local jobs.
Why do drains here keep blocking?
Mature canopy across the ridge streets and the bushland edge push roots into the original clay and earthenware drains laid during the early subdivisions, and those cracked joints invite repeat blockages. Our blocked drains and CCTV drain inspections pages explain how we diagnose and fix them properly.
My house runs old pipes. Can they be repaired or do they need replacing?
Both paths are on the table, and the honest answer comes from the camera, because cracked earthenware runs can often be relined while collapsed sections need proper excavation and repair. Cracked earthenware runs can often be relined without digging up the garden, while collapsed sections need proper drainage repair. We show you the footage and price each option.
Should I repair or replace my old hot water unit?
If the tank itself is leaking or the unit is well past its service life, replacement usually beats repair on cost, and we test the cylinder honestly before recommending either. Start at hot water repair or hot water replacement.
Can you handle drainage on sloping sandstone blocks?
Yes. We size and grade stormwater and waste lines for the fall, clear the low runs where debris settles, and camera-scan lines so the diagnosis is certain before any digging starts. The stormwater page covers how we manage water across the grade.

Coverage and booking
Which areas do you cover beyond the suburb itself?
We work across Asquith and the surrounding Hornsby area, including North Wahroonga, Hornsby, Mount Colah, Waitara and North Turramurra, with dedicated pages for each. If you sit just outside that ring, ring us anyway and we will give you an honest answer about whether we can help.
Can I book general maintenance, not just emergencies?
Absolutely. Most of our week is ordinary work: tap washers, toilet cisterns, bathroom and kitchen plumbing, appliance connections and annual checks. Browse the full plumbing and drainage service lists, or read about planned maintenance plumbing to catch small faults early.
How do I get started?
Call (02) 9072 0520, describe what is happening, and a licensed plumber will tell you what it likely means and when we can realistically be there. Prefer to write? The contact page takes your details and we call you back, and more about the team sits on the about page.
